JENNINGS, Mo. (AP) -- A standoff with an armed man suspected in two shootings ended when the man apparently committed suicide inside a home, police said Tuesday.

The man was suspected of shooting two other men, both in the chest, abdomen and legs. Authorities said the injuries to both men were life-threatening.

Names of the victims and the suspect were not released.

The St. Louis County tactical unit and Jennings police went to the home early Tuesday after one of the victims got out and knocked on a neighbor's door, pleading for help.
