An antique store, Through The Years, located at 125 W. Main in Jackson, recently was awarded the Merchants Award for the float that was in Jackson's Christmas Parade. An antique store, Through The Years, located at 125 W. Main in Jackson, recently was awarded the Merchants Award for the float that was in Jackson's Christmas Parade. The award consisted of a plaque, and two $50 checks, one from the Merchants Association, and the other from Jackson Jaycees. The award is given to floats every year.

The float was of antiques from Through The Years, also consisting of a fire place, old rocking chairs, a Christmas tree and children under the tree.

"We just put things out of our shop," said Kathy Green, who owns the shop along with Sharon Smith and Leigh Ann Green. Green says they will enter a float again next year.
