The newly formed Anti-Litter Campaign Committee will discuss ways to clean up the area during a meeting scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau. Officials from the cities of Cape Girardeau and Jackson, the CVB, Cape Girardeau County government, Old Town Cape, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce beautification committee are expected to attend the meeting. The ad hoc group will focus on five issues in their campaign against litter: Cleanup, education, enforcement, laws and legislation, and beautification.
