CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- Southeast Missouri's Bootheel experienced its second earthquake in less than a week Thursday.
According to the United States Geological Survey website, the quake occurred at about 7:30 p.m. and measured 2.7 on the Richter-magnitude scale.
The epicenter was about four miles northeast of Caruthersville and about 18 miles northwest of Dyersburg, Tenn.
There are no reports of injuries or damage in connection with the earthquake.
On Tuesday, another 2.7-magnitude earthquake was reported near Portageville, Mo., and no injuries were reported for that event.
