Annual parade to affect downtown parking

Parking in certain parts of Cape Girardeau will be restricted for part of Sunday, due to the Downtown Merchants Christmas Parade.

The parking will be closed off from 2 p.m. until the end of the parade in the following areas:

Broadway from West End Boulevard to Main Street

Main Street from Park Drive to William Street

North West End Boulevard from Broadway to Normal Avenue

Parkview from Perry Avenue to North West End

Capaha Park

East side of Perry Avenue from Broadway to Parkview

Vehicles parked on these streets after 2 p.m. will be towed from the street at the owner's expense, police say.
