The annual Holiday of Lights display at the Cape Girardeau County Park is scheduled to begin Nov. 27 with a lighting ceremony.
Displays are open to individuals, organizations and businesses. The Holiday of Lights will combine the light display in Cape County Park with car and bus tours and awards for home and neighborhood displays.
There is no charge, and electrical hookups and security are provided by the Cape County Park Board.
Display setup and park security will begin Nov. 23. No commercial signs are permitted. Signs for sponsoring organizations or individuals are allowed.
Tax-deductible donations will be used to help with organizational expenses and the purchase of additional lights for the park.
For more information, contact Park Superintendent Chet McCain at 335-4146.
The Holiday of Lights display is sponsored by the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, Convention/Visitors Bureau, Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts, Cape County Park Board and Cape County Commission.
