KENNETT, Mo. -- The Delta Children's Home annual auction, held recently, was a huge success according to its chairman Julie Lack.
The event netted more than $40,000 in profits, and organizers have already begun looking toward the new year.
Numerous celebrity items were donated in addition to several hundreds of items from area businesses, organizations, students and individuals.
"The auction goes off fairly smoothly each year and I give the credit to all those individuals who donate items and to all the others working behind the scenes to make the event such a success each year," Lack said.
