Though you may not be thinking of Christmas just yet, planning has begun for Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts Christmas Art & Craft Bazaar.
The bazaar is scheduled for Nov. 23-34 at the Show Me Center and will be called "Christmas at the Show Me Center."
Over 260 booths are available on the Show Me Center's main floor, concourse level and lobby. The attendance for the two-day fair usually tops 8,000 to 10,000. Last year, some exhibitors sold out the first afternoon.
Space is still available for exhibitors. Booth spaces rent for $70 for a 12 by 10-foot space, and one table is provided free if requested. Membership in the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts is required for all exhibitors.
All products must be finished and hand made by the exhibitor. Organizations and clubs are not permitted to sell arts and crafts.
Parking is free for the bazaar and a $1 admission fee will be charged for all non students over 18. Attendance prizes will be awarded hourly.
To receive an application to have an exhibit, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Christmas at the Show Me Center, Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts, P.O. Box 901, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63702-0901. Spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. After Oct. 15, only money orders will be accepted.
The Council on the Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in Southeast Missouri.
