ANNAPOLIS -- An Annapolis man was in serious condition Wednesday after falling asleep while driving in Iron County.
Daniel Francis, 18, has been driving three miles south of Annapolis on state Highway 49 Tuesday afternoon when he fell asleep, according to the state Highway Patrol. He ran off the roadway and struck a rock bluff, the report states.
Joshua Sertl, 17, was riding with Francis at the time of the accident. Sertl received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Arcadia Valley Hospital.
Francis was taken to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment.
