ANNA-JONESBORO PLANS CELEBRITY AUCTION, MEAL

ANNA, Ill. -- A celebrity auction and chili supper will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School.

Art and autographed memorabilia from sports, soap opera and music stars will be auctioned along with signed books, antiques and collectibles and pet supplies. Local businesses have also donated items for auction.

Serving for the meal will be from 5-7 p.m. The auction starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children 5-12. Those under 5 can eat free.

Tickets are on sale at the Gazette Democrat and Anna-Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, Cobden Village Hall and Fragrant Fields and City Hall in Dongola.

Sponsored by Pets are Worth Saving, proceeds will be used for a new Union County animal shelter.
