Andrew Douglas Chadd, 62, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at Mercy Hosptial Southeast in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 25, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Ronald and Charlene DeHart Chadd Sr.
Andrew was a graduate of Festus High School in Festus.
He enjoyed playing guitar and listening to the blues. Eric Clapton and B.B. King were a couple of his favorite artists. When he wasn't playing music, you could find him shooting guns and riding four-wheelers. He was a skilled marksman with a gun and enjoyed deer hunting.
Andrew and Linda Sue Welch were united in marriage on May 12, 1995, in Jackson. They celebrated 28 years of marriage together in 2023.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Chadd of Cape Girardeau; his father, Ronald Chadd Sr. of Glen Allen; son, Christopher Chadd of Festus; three brothers, Ronald (Dawn) Chadd Jr. of Arnold, Darrell (Kim) Chadd of St. Charles and Patrick Chadd of Glen Allen; granddaughter, Sophia Chadd; and niece and nephew, Oliver and Jennifer.
Visitation and memorial service were held Friday, Jan. 12, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, with Brother Jason Myers officiating.
