MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Alva Mae Pannell, 82, of Olmsted, Ill., died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born June 3, 1921, in Union City, Tenn., daughter of James and Kattie Butler Edwards. She and Thomas P. Pannell were married.
Pannell was a member of the Community Chapel Church in Urbandale.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Brenda Clark of Olmsted, Nancy Martin of Mound City and Betty Carr of Dongola, Ill.; two sons, Alfred Pannell of Mound City and Alvin Pannell of Olmsted; three sisters, Janie Hildebrand of Obion, Tenn., Rosalee Norman of Troy, Tenn., and Hattie Mae Tyson of Obion, Tenn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, three infant sisters and her grandson.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral will at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Revs. Paul Sadler and Dennis Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery, near Olmsted.
