Hill replaces Susan Freeman of O'Fallon, whose term has expired. Vandeven replaces Hill, who has been serving as vice president.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure as vice president of National Alumni Council and look forward to serving in my new position as president," Hill said. "I would like to extend my thanks to the nominating committee for forwarding my name."

Hill and Vandeven were elected after being nominated by the council's nominating committee. Harold Hager, chair of the department of mathematics, serves as the committee chair.

"Southeast Missouri State University has an exciting program going on and I'm proud to be a part of Southeast," said Vandeven. "I look forward to working with all of the alumni and to spread that pride and excitement."
