An Allenville man has been arrested for killing his son.

Raymond J. Holweg, 66, called the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff�s Department about 5 p.m. Friday and said he had shot his son, 42-year-old Jason Joseph Holweg, according to a news release issued Saturday by the sheriff�s department.

Raymond Holweg was taken into custody after an on-scene investigation in Allenville, and an interview at the sheriff�s department, the news release stated.

On Saturday, the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney�s Office issued warrants for Raymond Holweg for felony second-degree murder and felony armed criminal action, according to the release. The release stated a .410 shotgun was used in the shooting.

Raymond Holweg�s bond has been set at $1 million and an autopsy of Jason Holweg is scheduled for Monday in Farmington, Missouri, according to the release.
