KENNETT, M0. -- Two men from Blytheville, Ark., are currently in the Dunklin County Justice Center suspected of receiving stolen property.
According to Dunklin County prosecutors and the Kennett Police Department, Jessie Hudson, 35, and Justin Bernard Jamison, 21, were arrested after police received a report from the manager of Wilson's Recycling, located on Independence Avenue, that two men were trying to sell some metal that was believed to have been stolen from an irrigation system.
When officers arrived at the business, the men ran. Police pursued and arrested the suspects.
Investigation revealed that the metal was stolen from an irrigation system on a farm in Mississippi County, Ark.
Officers from Blytheville and the owner of the stolen metal arrived in Kennett to help prosecutors put their case together.
Authorities allege the men brought the metal to Kennett in a brown 1982 Buick after removing its rear seat to make room. The materials are valued at approximately $10,000, according to the owner.
Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder assisted in the case.
Both men are charged with receiving stolen property. Both have been given a $25,000 cash-only bond amount, according to court records.
