After closure for the last year and a half because of terminal renovation, the restaurant at the Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport is set to reopen.

The Runway Restaurant and Lounge will open Wednesday, according to Airport Manager Randy Holdman.

Mary Bergen will operate the restaurant, which will carry a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner and be open from 6 a.m.-10 p.m.

"It's the last big portion of the terminal to be opened up," said Holdman. With Trans World Express, car rentals, a gift shop and the restaurant open for business in the refurbished terminal, he added, "We feel we have a lot to offer the people."

Holdman explained that a grand opening ceremony for the new terminal is scheduled for Oct. 2.

"We now have a reeducation process," Holdman said. "We want people to come down and take a look at the terminal, and I think they'll like what they see."
