The SEMO Regional Consortium on AIDS has scheduled a general consortium meeting for May 16.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Conference Room A of the Health and Education Center at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
A program will follow a short business meeting. The Bureau of AIDS Prevention regional care coordinator will present a program summarizing the continuing and changing needs of the region's AIDS victims and their families, as well as her evolving role as care coordinator.
The consortium membership includes agencies and business and social organizations in the region. The organization's primary goal is to provide education on AIDS and to coordinate available services and resources in a nine-county area.
Interested individuals are invited to attend the meeting.
Organizations interested in consortium membership or individuals desiring more information about membership may contact Susan Janzow at 334-4822, ext. 5223, or Linda Thomason at 651-4177.
