AGRICULTURE, NATURAL RESOURCES EXPO SET

POPLAR BLUFF -- The eighth annual Heartland Agriculture and Natural Resources Expo will be held Jan. 28-29 in the Bess Activity Center of Three Rivers Community College here.

Eighty booths will display items relating to all aspects of agriculture and natural resources in Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas. Exhibitors will display their products and services and answer questions about horticulture and gardening, livestock and crop production, forestry and forestry products, machinery, equipment, automobiles and trucks, farm supplies and more.

Musical entertainment will be provided and a lip synch contest will be held. Prize money will go to top winners. Toy tractor pedal contests will be held for boys and girls and a tractor rodeo will be held for FFA and 4-H members and adults. A petting farm will be featured and a beauty pageant for preschoolers will be held for boys and girls. An old-time auction will be held at noon Saturday.
