The East Missouri Action Agency has money available to provide cooling assistance for low income persons.

The agency will receive $22,599 to help people with their electrical services when a shut-off notice has been given.

Nancy Williams, EMAA's Executive Director, stated that priority will be given to the elderly and handicapped.

In addition to financial assistance with cooling emergencies, EMAA will continue the fan and air-conditioner loan program.
