Ms. O recently had a stroke that has affected her speech and her ability to take care of herself. She lost her job because of the stroke and now lives in the laundry room of her daughter's too-small house. Household cleaning supplies and some bedroom furniture would really make Christmas bright for her, as well as shirts in size large, sweat pants in size large, shoes, size 9 1/2 to 10 and full-size sheets for her bed...

You can help Ms. O and other needy elderly people in our area by buying these needed items, including grocery gift cards and personal grooming and cleaning supplies and delivering them to the Southeast Missourian, 301 Broadway. Monetary donations can also be sent to Christmas for the Elderly, P.O. Box 4, Cape Girardeau, MO 63702. All elderly served are living independently on limited incomes with few, if any, family members. They would appreciate your sharing spirit.
