Advance tickets available for air show

Tickets for the 2014 Cape Girardeau Air Festival are available for advance purchase at capegirardeauairfestival.com/Ticket-Information. The festival will take place May 16 and 17.

Advance ticket prices are $12 for adults, $7 for children ages 7 to 11 and free for children 6 and younger. The prices at the gate on the day of the show will be $15 for adults, $10 for children ages 7 to 11 and free for children 6 and younger.

Premium seating, which includes a meal, unlimited refreshments and reserved seating along the show line, also is available in advance and may be purchased online or at the airport.

Public parking for the air fest will be available at the following locations near the airport:

• Rhodes Truck Stop
• Lawless Harley Davidson
• Former Do It Best
• Agri-Trans
• Genesis Trucking

The event will feature the Royal Canadian Forces' demonstration jet team, the Canadian Snowbirds. The nine-aircraft team performs acts similar to those of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds.
