Applicants must be elderly, disabled or handicapped and must have owned their homes for at least one year. Criteria for repair are basic housing necessities, such as plumbing, heating, electrical and roofing.

Applications are being accepted for the program, Tucker said. EMAA is one of six agencies in the state to receive the grant funds. The grant program has funded repairs to about 400 homes in the EMAA's service area, Tucker said.

For more information, call any of the county EMAA offices or the main office in Park Hills, 431-5191.
