Accident leaves three people injured Sunday

MINER, Mo. -- Three people were seriously injured on Sunday afternoon in a head-on collision in east Scott County on U.S. Highway 62, two miles east of Miner.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when driver Kasey Holifield, 16, of Bertrand, Mo. crossed the center line striking a vehicle driven by Rodney Keeton, 61, of East Prairie, Mo. Michael Wright, 50, of Sikeston, Mo., was a passenger in Keeton's vehicle.

All three were taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
