GREENVILLE -- Two people were killed and three were injured in a three-vehicle accident south of Greenville Friday. A van hit a pickup truck and then a tractor-trailer.
Killed were the driver of the van, Barbara Weber, 41, of Clubb, and a passenger in the van, Christan Stair, 1, of Poplar Bluff, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.
Three passengers in the van were also injured: John P. Stair, 22, Shanen Stair, 17, and Jacob Stair, 2, all of Poplar Bluff. The three injured persons were taken to Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
The accident occurred at 10:45 a.m. Friday on Highway 67, five miles south of Greenville.
The van Weber was driving apparently crossed the center line and hit the pickup truck driven by Scotty Dorris, 19, of Greenville. The van then hit the tractor-trailer driven by Kenneth Woodard, 42, of Mountain View, Ark.
No one in the pickup truck or tractor trailer was injured.
