ACCIDENT INJURES ALABAMA TRAVELER

PERRYVILLE -- Authorities said wet roads were a factor in an accident Saturday in Perry County that injured a motorcyclist.

Daniel Whatley, 47, of Montgomery, Ala., was treated and released at Perry County Memorial Hospital after he sustained minor injuries in the impact.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said 16-year-old Christopher Klein of Ste. Genevieve struck the rear of Whatley's Harley Davidson motorcycle after he lost control of his car on a slick roadway. Klein was not injured, the patrol said.

The accident occurred at 4:30 p.m. on Interstate 55, three miles south of Route B. Both vehicles were traveling south.
