Robert Harper of Jackson, instructor for the AARP Safety Drivers Program for 16 years, will leave his position due to health issues.
Harper said, "I have enjoyed teaching about 500 people through the Safety Drivers Program and enjoyed seeing the smiles and happy faces when they completed the two four-hour classes and realized they could receive a discount on their auto insurance."
Harper believes that the classes improved driving skills and helped stop many accidents in the state. Those who wish to continue the course should contact Lisa Reynolds, (573) 785-3138, extension 29, or Ronald MacCubbin, (573) 794-2448, or Quentin A. Ruchte, (636) 677-0801.
