Masonic First Degree service set for Tuesday

St. Mark's Masonic Lodge 93 will hold a courtesy First Degree service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. A practice will be at 6 p.m. Monday. For information, call 335-3683.

Kent Puchbauer of Jackson, Mo., was recently honored for his service on the Board of Commissioners for the Southeast Regional Port Authority. Puchbauer served two years as the member at large for Cape Girardeau County.

He was presented a plaque at the December meeting in honor of his work on the board.

The member-at-large post alternates every two years between Cape Girardeau and Scott counties, the two counties that created the port. Bob Kielhofner of Scott City, Mo., will fill the seat for 2002-2003.

Irvin Garms of Cape Girardeau was reappointed by the Cape Girardeau County Commission to serve a four-year term through 2005. He is chairman of the port's construction committee.
