A NEW FLAVOR

My Daddy's Cheesecake, Inc. has added a flavor to its already long list of cheesecake desserts.

"We call it Snykers," said Tom Harte, president of the firm which was founded in 1987. "It's been a popular addition since we developed it a week ago."

Harte said the new dessert was patterned after a popular candy bar by the same name (Snickers).

"It has peanuts, caramel and milk chocolate," he said.

The Cape Girardeau cheesecake business has won top honors in the annual Foodservice New Products Contest during the past two years.

"Maybe we'll enter Snykers in the new-product contest this year," said Harte.

My Daddy's Cheesecake was founded in 1987 by Harte and his wife, Jane Harte, Joe Low and his wife, Lauchette Low, as a parttime business.
