Juliann Hall, daughter of John and Jerre Hall of 2320 Perryville Road, and her horse, Callaway's Will Scarlet (Willie), triple qualified to compete in the National United Professional Horseman's Association's (UPHA) 10-and-under saddleseat equitation finals in Lexington, Ky., on Oct. 10-13.

Hall qualified by winning classes at the Germantown Horse Show in Memphis, Tenn., the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, and the Missouri State Fair at Sedalia.

She is both the Illinois and Missouri state champion in the 10-and-under walk and trot. Hall was the reserve champion at the UPHA Horse Show in Columbia, Mo., and the Evansville Kick-Off Show in Evansville, Ind.

Hall, 8, is in third grade at Alma Schrader Elementary School. She trains at Mike Roberts Stable, where Jeff Vogel is her instructor.

Hall's horse is an American Saddlebred breed, which has its roots near Mexico, Mo. This year is the 100-year celebration of the breed.
