Six basketball players and one cheerleader were honored Feb. 7 during senior night at Leopold.

The basketball players included point guard Noland Beussink, forward Austin Broshuis, center Keegan Deck, point guard Brady Halter, point guard Caleb Rossana and forward Will Retz. All six seniors have been a part of the Leopold basketball program throughout their high school career.

Leopold's senior cheerleader is captain Erin Schreckenberg, who has been cheerleading all four years.

All seven seniors and their parents were recognized before the varsity game. The Leopold Wildcats, unable to secure the win against Scott County Central, lost by two points.

Schreckenberg talked about the "many great memories" she has from the past few years and how much fun it has been cheering with her classmates.

For Halter, "getting to play the game I've grown up playing with my friends" is what he will miss the most.
