The Young America 4-H Club of Cape Girardeau has been awarded a Building Our American Communities Grant from the Missouri Department of Agriculture, Market Development Division. The grant was one of six awarded in the Southeast district.

The Young Americans 4-H Club has also been awarded an honorable mention in the Colgate-Palmolive Company's "Youth for American Campaign of Community Service." The club was honored for the outdoor classroom labs.
