Thirty boars were sold for an average price of $450 at the 35th performance tested swine sale.
Southeast Missouri State University, the University of Missouri Extension Service and the SEMO Swine Improvement Association were sale hosts.
A Landrace boar fetched the highest price, $900, paid by H&H Hog Farm of Marston.
Dennis Aufdenberg of Burfordville bought the highest-selling Duroc boar for $600.
Ron Ury of Jonesboro, Ill., paid $750 for the highest-selling Yorkshire, while Kirk Jahn of Jackson paid the top price of $450 for a Hampshire boar.
