3 teens injured in ATV accident

Three teenagers were injured, two seriously, in an all-terrain vehicle accident at 1:50 a.m. Saturday on County Road 416 3 miles north of Oak Ridge, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Hyland S. McCaroll, 15, of Jackson and Adam T. Pleimann, 18, were riding a 2004 Kawasaki Prairie and Clayton R. Maintz, 17, of Oak Ridge was on a 2003 Yama Bear Tracker, the report said. The accident occurred as the 2004 Kawasaki collided head on with the Yamah Bear Tracker, the report said.

Pleimann was taken by Air Medical to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, the report said.

McCaroll and Maintz were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, according to the report.
