ZALMA, Mo. -- Three people from Zalma were injured in a crash Friday evening on Route H in Bollinger County.
Ralph R. Carnahan, 24, Eric A. Lemons, 23, and Casey J. Wertich, 29, were hurt when a 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada driven by Carnahan ran off the road and struck several trees about 6 p.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The crash happened as the vehicle was traveling northbound on Route H.
Carnahan sustained serious injuries and was taken by helicopter to St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. Lemons also sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Saint Francis Medical Center, according to the crash report. Wertich sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Saint Francis by ambulance.
None of the occupants of the vehicle was wearing a seat belt, according to crash report.
