Old Town Cape hosted the 28th annual Parade of Lights on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, in Cape Girardeau with "Christmas Lights and Winter Nights" as this year's theme. Following the parade, judges announced winners in the following categories: The Mattress Guys for best theme, SEMO Hogs for best business appearance, Dream Factory of SEMO for best nonprofit appearance, Crossroads Church for best music, Team Noah and Cyclewerx for best lighting, Meadow Heights for best marching band, and Delta Companies Inc. for the Chairman's Award. Next year's parade is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020.
