The event allows participants to see their United Way donations at work, how agency programs are affecting people's lives and experience first hand how volunteering can make a positive impact, said Kristen Heine, coordinator of student involvement at Southeast.

Organizers are putting together a list of volunteer projects. Projects in the past include painting, organizing food pantries and delivering meals to homebound residents.

For more information, contact Kathy Denton at the Area Wide United Way at 334-9634 or Southeast's Heine at 651-2280.
