The U.S. Attorney's office in St. Louis announced Thursday that 24-year-old Jessie Hampton and 25-year-old Malcom Johnson were indicted on several charges related to the 2012 death of Scipio Vaughn of Centralia, Illinois. Both could face up to life in prison if convicted.

The indictment alleges Hampton and Johnson, while involved in drug trafficking July 15, 2012, robbed Vaughn, who was shot to death during the crime.
