A Dexter, Mo., man was placed under arrest for DWI after a Thursday night wreck that sent his passenger to a Cape Girardeau hospital with serious injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that Andrew W. Farrow, 40, was driving west on County Road 624 one mile west of Highway AF at 9:15 p.m. Thursday when his 1998 Ford Taurus crested a hill, went airborne, ran off the road and struck an embankment.
Farrow suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to SoutheastHEALTH in Dexter. His passenger, 33-year-old Angela D. Brewer, also of Dexter, sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
The patrol said neither occupant was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Within an hour after the accident, Farrow was charged with felony DWI, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident and for not wearing a seat belt.
