Nineteen students graduated from the Cape Girardeau Area Vocational-Technical School of Practical Nursing Friday night at Grace United Methodist Church.
Barb McKeon, nurse counselor at Southeast Missouri Hospital, delivered the graduation address.
Nursing school pins and diplomas were awarded to:
Nelda Acuff, Sheila Allmon, Penny Freeman, and Ellen Joshlin of Cape Girardeau; Teresa Black, Jackie Sadler and Tony Todd of Morley; S. Elaine DeVault and Tracey Wilkinson of Marble Hill; Stephania Doggett of Sedgewickville; Joyce Dreyer of Perryville; Cristina Ertman of Burfordville; Linda Euge of Middlebrook; Donna Fisher of Chaffee; Carolyn Greer of Cairo, Ill.; Donna Hillman of Scott City; Glennda Myer of Jackson; Wilma Rose of Whitewater; and Kathi Wilkinson of Grassy.
Special awards were presented. Acuff was selected by her classmates as Student Nurse of the Year; Allmon, Joshlin and Rose received perfect attendance awards; DeVault was recognized for her academic achievement.
Corina DeLaney was made an honorary graduate of the program.
