16-PLUS REOPENS AT WEST PARK MALL

16-Plus will re-open at West Park Mall.

United Retail Group, Inc. recently acquired 95 financially-troubled 16-Plus stores and will reopen 10 of them next week.

The local 16-Plus store closed in March and will reopen Friday under the new ownership at the same location in the mall.

Cathy Alexander, Scott City, will be manager of the store.

"We'll hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to the opening of the store Friday," said Kellie Thiel, district office manager of training, St. Louis. "The store will open at 10 a.m."

16-Plus is a women's clothing store catering to larger sizes, said Thiel.

United Retail Group, headquartered at Rochelle Park, N.J., are also owners of two other retail operations The Avenue and Sizes Unlimited.
