The Cape Girardeau Police Department towed 15 cars on Main Street Sunday because they were in the way of a local car show. The River Tales Classic Car Show occurred Sunday, and signs on Main Street asked drivers not to park in certain areas on the street so the classic cars could be displayed. Roughly 200 cars were shown on Main Street and in the parking lot across from Hutson's Fine Furniture.

The signs were posted several days in advance, said Cape Girardeau Police spokesman Jason Selzer.
