Cape Girardeau police have arrested both people believed to be responsible for an attempted robbery outside a convenience store last week.
A 13-year-old male juvenile was in the custody of juvenile authorities on Friday, according to a release from the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Another suspect, Evan Johnson Jr., 30, of Cape Girardeau, was arrested and charged Thursday with attempted robbery and armed criminal action.
The two suspects are accused of trying to rob a man of an Xbox video game system near the intersection of Bloomfield and Hanover streets on Nov. 6. During the incident, the 13-year-old allegedly fired a gun at a male victim, grazing his left calf with a bullet as he ran. Johnson also allegedly tried to punch the victim.
