Paul and Marilyn Schnare of Cape Girardeau, owners of Accu-Grow Gardens and Florist, celebrated the firm's 10th anniversary April 27 with several promotions. The business is located at 1110 N. Cape Rock Dr.
The event featured a live remote radio broadcast, sale prices, a potting table and face painting for children, refreshments and several door prizes, said Ann Rees, florist manager.
Winners and prizes include Dr. Michael Trueblood, a flat of bedding plants; Sally Procter, a dozen roses; Lucy Masters, a dogwood tree; and Susan Allee, one year's lawn care program.
Accu-Grow provides lawn and tree care, landscaping, irrigation systems, a garden center and a florist. They have nine full-time and five part-time employees. Ochs Florist originally occupied the site.
