SIKESTON -- The Scott County Farmers Mutual Insurance Co., 942 S. Kingshighway here, recently held its 100th annual policy holders meeting.
The firm started business in April of 1890 and has been in continuous operation since. The firm currently provides nearly $60 million in insurance protection in Scott and adjoining counties to approximately 1,400 property holders.
Representatives for the company include Charles K. Grojean Sr., New Hamburg; the Albrecht/Hodges Agency, Cape Girardeau; Ira Merideth, Sikeston; Newton Agency, Sikeston; Ken Johnson Insurance, Scott City; Stoddard County Insurance Agency, Bloomfield, and the Volkerding Agency, Jackson.
Gordon Albrecht is president of the company, Grojean is vice president, and Connie Borders is secretary-treasurer and office manager.
