Ten people were injured in three separate traffic accidents in the area Friday.
Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle accident Friday morning near Interstate 55 and Route M in Perry County near Brewer.
Annabelle Shelby, 46, and Joey Brown, 15, both of Villa Ridge, Ill., were reportedly taken to the Perry County Hospital in Perryville, Mo.
They were injured when the vehicle they were riding in left the roadway and struck a rock bluff.
In an accident near Ste. Genevieve Friday afternoon, seven people were injured when a vehicle struck a parked car on I-55.
Injured in the accident were Tamella Simmons, 32, Willie Scott, 14, Tamella Scott, 11, Markita Scott, 13, Lonett Simmons, 10, Cassandra Scott, 12, and Christima Simmons, 11, all of Cairo, Ill.
Ste. Genevieve County Hospital authorities said the victims were treated at the hospital and released.
In the third accident, a Farmington man was hospitalized at Mineral Area Hospital in Flat River for injuries he sustained when his vehicle struck a rock embankment.
Chad Mahurin, 23, lost control of his car at 9:50 a.m. on Route D near Route HH in Ste. Genevieve County.
