THE PUBLIC MIND: VOTE FOR CANDIDATE YOU THINK IS BEST

To the Editor:

Around election time, one so often hears, "I really think ~--- is the best candidate, but I don't want to lose my vote because he/she can't win, so I'll probably vote for one who can." The real way to lose one's vote is to vote for what is thought to be the situation instead of what one really believes.

Presently there is expression prevailing, "I think Ross Perot is really telling it like it is, but he can't will the presidency." It's time now to vote one's real convictions. If you think George Bush is the best for America, vote for Bush ... win, lose or draw. If you think Bill Clinton is best, vote for Bill Clinton. If you think Ross Perot will do the best for America, vote for Ross Perot. ~
