LETTERS: SOME MOTORISTS DISPLAY THEIR HATE

This article comes from our electronic archive and has not been reviewed. It may contain glitches.

To the editor:

There is enough hate to go around in this town. You do not have to belong to any groups that advocate hate. You can find those who hate anywhere. It may be anyone who drive a car who harbors these tendencies. An example is someone who drives the speed limit or a bit over and finds himself literally pushed off the roadway by many whose attitude must be pure hate toward anyone who happens to be driving ahead of him. It is called tailgating. It is an offense and unlawful. It also can cause, and often does, serious accidents. It also can be described as road rage. That is hate in its purest form.

These clowns, as they might be called, come in all forms. They can be professional people, blue-collar people, college students, young or old. They can be real nice people until they get behind the wheel. People who hate are all around us. Yes, they are Americans.

You can find them belching out their hate in Washington, the 51 statehouses and wherever there are politicians, be they at the top or anywhere below. If we look in the mirror, we may see a qualifier or a non-member of this type of person.
