LEOPOLD -- St. Vincent saw three seniors combined for 41 points and churned out a 59-40 victory over Leopold Friday night in boys high school basketball action.

Justin Amschler and Todd Meyer each popped in 14 points, while Gabe Hotop added 13 for St. Vincent (4-1).

St. Vincent took a 31-21 halftime lead and rolled on for an easy victory.

"I thought it was a good defensive game for us," said St. Vincent coach Bruce Valleroy. "Offensively we were pretty consistent, as well. We had three kids in double figures, and that's the style of ball we like to play."

Leopold (5-2) was paced in scoring by Ashton James, who notched 16 points.

"We were really cold in shooting from the floor," said Leopold coach Carlton Thoma. "It was our first home game. St. Vincent is a good, physical team."
