Elaine Fisher allowed one hit Thursday to lead the Southeast Missouri State softball team to victory in the first game of a doubleheader with Saint Louis University.
The Redhawks (21-21) won the first game 6-0, then captured the nightcap 2-1 to complete the sweep.
Fisher struck out six and didn't allow a walk in the first game.
Megan McDonald, a Central graduate, powered the Redhawks in the first game. She went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored. One of her hits was a double.
Stacia Dopudja also collected two hits, including a double. She drove in two and scored once.
The Redhawks opened a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning before exploding for five runs in the seventh inning to seal the win.
It took another late-inning outburst by the Redhawks to win the second game. Saint Louis scored one in the fourth off Southeast starter Whitney Dupuis.
Fisher came in during the fifth inning and allowed one hit over the final 2 1/3 innings to pick up the win.
The Redhawks struck for two runs in the sixth inning. Dopudja had Southeast's lone RBI in the game. Jennifer Vasquez and Allie Borowiak scored the runs. Vasquez was the lone Redhawks player with two hits.
Notre Dame graduate Kristain Burger went 0-for-1 in the first game for the Billikens (16-28-1). She didn't play in the second game.
