NASHVILLE, Tenn. --Andy Delmore helped the Nashville Predators finally beat the St. Louis Blues.

Delmore scored on the power play with 16 seconds left in overtime Tuesday night as the Predators beat the Blues 2-1 for the first time in nine games.

He also scored in the third period to tie the game at 1. The win ended the Predators' eight-game winless streak (0-6-2) against the Blues.

"Everybody knows we have had little bit of a tough time against the Blues," Delmore said. "We just stuck this one out.

"It's always great for your confidence to score two goals in a game. But everyone on this team still has a lot to learn, whether it is offensively or defensively. I'm trying to round out my whole game."

Delmore won the game when he poked a rebound of Clarke Wilm's shot past St. Louis goaltender Brent Johnson.

"It was kind of a weird play," Delmore said. "It was a 2-on-2 and Wilm did a good job of getting a shot. The rebound came to me and I just poked it past Johnson."

Johnson didn't know who had taken the shot.

"It deflected a couple of times off of people, but I didn't see who shot it," Johnson said. "I did see the puck going over my glove."

Reed Low scored for St. Louis at 4:14 of the first period as he backhanded a rebound past Nashville goaltender Tomas Vokoun.

Delmore tied the game at 15:57 of the third period as he bounced a shot off the inside of the left goal post and into the net.
